Showjumping - March
This is me jumping Lou one of the colleges horses in the practice ring at a show.

LOU
Lou is a 15.2hh, 19yo, dark bay mare.
Lou and I popping another practice fence!
HARLEY by far my favourite horse ever!
This is Harley. He is a 15.2hh skewbald gelding and is an amazing 22 years old! Harley was without a doubt my favourite horse at college, he is the most amazingist horse I have ever met and ever will. Just 4 years ago at the age of 18 harley was a grade B showjumping stallion in Yorkshire. He stood in stud there until for along time until he was 18 and he was gelded and sold on. He was kept for a couple of years and went around 3 different owners in 4 years, each owner lying about his age!
In September 2002 he was brought by a lecturer at college, thinking he was 17, and put on loan to college. I became very close with harley and competed him at college competitions alot. Christmas 2002 came and I was asked to take him home with me over xmas for 3 weeks, so I did. (Right, me and harley at solihull riding club ready for our SJ class)
HARLEY
I looked after harley for the 3 weeks attending a few competitions at Solihull riding club. We also attended a pony club showjumping rally at solihull where all of the kids loved him!
He has a huge buck on him!
6 weeks before I took him home, Harley had been lame and not been ridden, just on box rest for the entire time. I took harley to his first show on 27th December and now he hadn't been ridden for 7 weeks now! I mounted him and entered the classes not expecting him to jump clear or anything. He completely shocked us when we came 5th out of 65 in a showjumping class qualifying for Trailblazers! The next day I had another show and expecting him to be tired and stiff again did not expect anything from him he jumped clear around a Dengie qualifier course. He was amazing!
One day he got a clear round in the 3ft.
Harley in the field, loving every moment!
Harley loved showjumping, he would fly at fences and if you haven't got hold of him he is off! He is not at all how you would expect a cob to be, he is extremely responsive and would try anything. He loved his work, always has his ears pricked forwards, not a nasty bone in his body!
Harley enjoying a nice relaxing hack around Earlswood lakes!
The best thing about harley was his temperament. Considering the amount of times he had changed owners and only a few years ago was a stallion his temperament was one to die for! He was always interested in what you were doing around the yard, and so very gentle.
Out hacking!
In the February holidays harleys owner had managed to trace some of harleys past, she found the stud where he stood stallion and sold him back to the stud. He has now gone into retirement in yorkshire no doubt loving the freedom in the field!!
He is greatly missed at college but will be enjoying the lush grass much more!
Me jumping polly at cottage farm 4 years ago!
Polly is an 11.2hh grey welsh mare.
This is Murphy, a horse I have been riding and trying to sell on work placement!
